Olivia Culpo likes Super Bowl chances for Christian McCaffrey’s Panthers

Olivia Culpo believes the stars may be aligning for a Panthers Super Bowl run.

During a recent encounter with TMZ Sports, the girlfriend of Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was asked about quarterback Cam Newton’s return to Carolina and if the postseason could be within reach.

“With Cam Newton back, do you think he and Christian can lead the Panthers to a Super Bowl?” the photog asked Culpo, to which she replied, “Yeah.”

Newton, who was drafted by the Panthers in 2011, spent his entire career in Carolina until his release in March 2020. He later signed a one-year deal with the Patriots and played for New England during the 2020-21 season. This past August, however, he was released from the Patriots.

As for the Panthers, they acquired quarterback Sam Darnold in a trade with the Jets back in April. Although Carolina got off to a hot start this season, Darnold later struggled under center. During a Week 9 loss to the Patriots, Darnold suffered a shoulder injury, opening the door for Newton’s eventual return.

In his first game back with the Panthers, Newton quickly scored two touchdowns, helping Carolina top the Cardinals in Week 10. Although the Panthers fell short last week against the Washington Football Team, they’ll have a chance to get to .500 on the season with a win over the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

While it remains to be seen if Culpo, 29, will be in attendance for Sunday’s game, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has watched McCaffrey, 25, in action over the past few weeks. In fact, she posted a cheeky message about the Pro Bowler’s backside when he took the field against Washington last Sunday.

Culpo and McCaffrey have been dating for more than two years.
