Nothing Ear (stick) launched with a lipstick-inspired charging case: Price and other details – Times of India
After teasing it for days, Carl Pei‘s Nothing has announced its third product and second pair of true wireless earbuds — the Ear (stick) — a reiteration of the Ear (1), the company’s first-ever wireless earbuds launched about a year ago. The new earbuds come in a half-in-ear design, which means no silicone tips and no active noise cancellation.
Nothing Ear (stick): Price, availability in India
Nothing Ear (stick) comes at Rs 8,499 in India. The new earbuds will be available for purchase in India starting November 17 through Flipkart and Myntra. As of now, the Ear (stick) comes in a single white colour option.
Nothing Ear (stick): Specifications, features, and more
Nothing’s latest – the Ear (stick) – ditches silicone ear tips for a half-in-ear style, thus sacrificing the ANC, a feature profound on the first pair of earbuds from the company. The company says that each earbud has been ergonomically designed, weighing 4.4 grams, and has been tested with over 100 pairs of ears, and they found it to be ‘not noticeable.’
Inside, the earbuds feature 12.6mm dynamic drivers, with support for AAC and SBC audio codecs. While the Ear (stick) misses out on the ANC, it does add a new feature – Bass Lock – which dynamically adjusts the bass output as per the surroundings. The earbuds have three microphones each – one to capture voice, another one to cancel out background noise during calls, and one more inside the earbud to measure the size of the ear canal. Together, these mics can cancel out the sound of wind and crowds during voice calls, claims the company.
The Ear (stick) features “press control,” which, according to the company, will work fine even with wet hands. The earbuds come with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. As for the battery life, the Ear (stick) would last users up to 7 hours of playback, and with the charging case, the earbuds can go up to 29 hours.
The charging case remains transparent, but now it is cylindrical in shape, said to be inspired by lipstick. Like lipstick, you will need to twist to open the case and take out the earbuds. The case gets a USB-C port but misses out on wireless charging.
