NITK Surathkal hosts students from MP under Yuva Sangam – Times of India
The students were accompanied by four staff members of MANIT Bhopal and will be staying at NITK till May 16.
A formal inaugural ceremony was held at the campus to welcome delegates, aged between 18 to 30 years. The event was presided over by Prasad Krishna, director (additional-charge) and Narendranath S, dean (students welfare) of NITK. Krishna said, “The aim of the visit is to increase the exchange of rich cultural and traditional ideas between the two states and promote tourism, tradition, progress, technology, and mutual contact.”
P Prabhakaran, the nodal officer (Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Cell – NITK), informed that the delegates will visit several tourist destinations of coastal Karnataka, including Sasihitlu Beach, Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, Udupi, Murdeshwar, Agumbe, Moodbidri, Karkala, Sringeri, and Mangaluru city. “Various cultural programmes will be showcased and the delegates will interact with locals to know Karnataka’s culture and practices, promoting mutual contact,” he added.
