Nikita Kuzmin seen wearing white patch on arm – condition explained

Nikita Kuzmin was hailed for showing his flash glucose monitor during the show in 2022 when he and dance partner Tilly Ramsey were eliminated. During the dance-off performance, the strictly professional dancer made the bold choice to remove his already-open shirt, proceeding to dance topless.

Fans instantly noticed the monitor, used for people who have type 1 diabetes, under the 24-year-olds arm.

One fan tweeted at the time: “Thank you, Nikita, for displaying your Libre sensor! As a fellow T1 diabetic, these devices are game changers and to see a celeb wearing one is normalising their use.”

Abbott FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 are what’s medically known as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and flash devices.

With CGM, people with diabetes can check their blood sugar (glucose) levels at any time.
