Nick Jonas has shared the first picture of his baby girl, who is home after over 100 days in the NICU, as he wishes wife Priyanka Chopra a happy first Mother’s Day.

The former Jonas Brother, 29, and actress Priyanka, 39, welcomed their first child together in January, surprising fans with an announcement on social media.

An overjoyed post from the pair revealed they had become parents to the little girl, who they named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogate.

Now the new parents have shared the first photograph of their baby, while revealing they have finally welcomed her home from the NICU after 100 days.

In a gorgeous post on Instagram featuring Nick, Priyanka and their daughter with her face covered with a heart emoji, Nick reflected on the ‘rollercoaster’ journey they had been on so far.

‘On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,’ he wrote.

‘After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home.

‘Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.’

He said they were ‘overjoyed that our little girl is finally home,’ and thanked all the doctors, nurses and staff at the hospitals who had looked after their child during her first few months of life.

He added joyously: ‘Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a bad*ss. Let’s get it M! Mommy and Daddy love you.’

Nick went on to wish a happy Mother’s Day to ‘all the incredible mothers and care takers out there,’ in particular his ‘incredible’ wife, Priyanka

‘Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you,’ he wrote.

‘You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.’

The new parents began dating in May 2018, with Nick proposing to Priyanka in July of the same year.

They married in December 2018, having lavish Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

In January this year, they announced the arrival of their daughter, writing on Instagram: ‘We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.

‘We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.’

Malti Marie is the fourth girl to be born to Nick and his brothers, Kevin and Joe Jonas – meaning there could be a Jonas Cousins girl band on the cards in the future.

Kevin has daughters Valentina and Alena with his wife Danielle, while Joe and his wife Sophie Turner welcomed their daughter Willa in 2020.

Sophie is currently pregnant with the pair’s second child, with the couple confirming the news last week.
