Next, Tesco, Asda & more urgently recall homeware & food items – ‘stop using this product’

Supermarkets, retailers, and companies recall items due to health and safety issues. Normally, when an item is recalled, customers are advised to return it to stores where a full refund will be given.

Tesco

Tesco is recalling various items, including earphones, books, and food products.

The company issued a statement to explain that a pair of wireless earphones sold at its stores is unsafe to use.

It said: “Kondor Limited is recalling KitSound Funk25 wireless earbuds.

“This is because there is a risk of the charging case overheating if it’s connected to a power source that’s more than five volts.”

The supermarket added customers should “stop using this product immediately”.

Tesco is also recalling a Ladybird Book called ‘Duggee and the Dinosaurs’.

Due to a manufacturing fault on some copies, the foil on the book cover can be peeled off and be a hazard for young children.

As for food products, Tesco is recalling its Cottage Pie baby food because it may contain pieces of blue plastic.

The product has a best before date of June 12, 2022, and the supermarket has advised customers to bring it back to stores if they have bought it.

Spar

Spar has issued a food recall on its Enjoy Local Coconut Jam Delights.

This is due to the presence of undeclared sulphites.

The product is therefore a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and sulphites, the FSA said.

The coconut jam delights have a best before date of July 23, 2021, and come in a multi-pack.

The Spar branches selling the items are located in Northern Ireland only.
