Dermatologists have long been singing the praises of retinol when it comes to anti-ageing skincare.
The rockstar ingredient has been clinically proven to reduce wrinkles, fade pigmentation, improve texture, and brighten skin by speeding up cell turnover and increasing elastin and collagen production.
It’s picked up a bit of a reputation, however, for causing irritation, putting some shoppers off, but if you’re looking for some entry-level avenues to trying retinol, Nip+Fab’s range may be a great place to start.
The popular brand has recently moved from using retinyl palmitate to encapsulated pure retinol, which, they say, is 20% more potent.
Encapsulated pure retinol is also known for its slow release, meaning it should penetrate into the skin with minimal irritation.
The Retinol Fix range, which is aimed at nighttime use also contains skincare heroes such as hyaluronic acid, ceramides, bakuchiol, and vitamin C to tackle ageing from all angles.
Ten percent of this concentrate is made up of Nip+Fab’s time-release retinol complex including 0.3% pure retinol.
After cleansing in the evening apply two-three drops of the serum, paying particular attention to areas with expression lines, such as around the mouth.
If you are new to retinol the brand recommends using it once a week initially then building up to two to three times a week.
The brand claims 90% of its customers noticed that visible signs of ageing had diminished after regular use of Retinol Fix Concentrate Extreme 10%.

Formulated with 3% of retinol complex with 0.3% pure retinol as well as a hydration complex and ceramides, this moisturiser helps to replenish skin and improve hydration.
The brand recommends using it on top of your concentrate or serum three times a week in the evening only.

Use once a week, in the evening, for optimum results.

Retinol isn’t just an anti-ager, it can also help tackle spots as it helps to repair skin faster. This Blemish Gel Treatment contains 10% time-release retinol complex with 0.1% encapsulated pure retinol.
In a study, 93% of people agreed their skin looked visibly clearer after 24 hours, while after four weeks 90% agreed their blemishes had completely healed.
TIPS
Nip+Fab says it’s best not to use a separate vitamin C product at the same time as its retinol fix products.
Instead, use a topical vitamin C in the morning and the retinol products in your evening routine.
Its also recommended using a SPF 30 or above during the day as retinol can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
