New south London course launched to train youngsters to be social media influencers
The new 13-week fully-funded traineeship programme will give people aged 16 to 24-years-old the chance to learn about working in the social media industry.
The course will include 70 hours of work experience and teaching, with tutors who have an “inside knowledge” of the social media industry.
The course aims to give students the professional skills to pursue a career in social media, and comes after the success of LLC’s Digital Marketing Traineeship.
Student Angeline, who enrolled in the Business Support Traineeship, said: “I really enjoyed my experience here with LLC, the classes are great and you get a lot more support as the class size is more intimate and comfortable for learning.”
The qualification that participants will receive has the potential to help them into a number of career pathways, according to London Learning Consortium.
The course could involve students taking a number of career pathways in content creation, influencing and social media-led roles.
Traineeship, Apprenticeship, Employment & WEX Recruitment Manager, Matt Lyder said: “Young people need support and guidance to be seen and heard in the increasingly challenging and competitive world of work.
