Those staying on includes Ellis Dean, who obtained nine GCSEs, including four grade eight and two grade sevens.

Mateo Reynald-Abad achieved nine GCSEs, including top marks in science, maths and computer science.

Another student heading to the school’s sixth form is Eloise Sharpe, who attained nine GCSEs, including grade nine in maths, two grade eights and one grade seven.

And Barbara Sohonyai achieved nine GCSEs, including top marks in science, with grade eight in chemistry, plus two grade sevens.

Head of school Dustin Schuyler said: “We are encouraged by the results and by the young professionals they have developed into.

“We are happy that many of our students will be staying on with us at BMAT STEM Academy to continue in our sixth form.”
