New Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 2024 Screenshots Leaked Through Warzone Mobile’s Alpha
We are over three months away from the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and now we have some new screenshots of the game leaked from the Alpha version of Warzone Mobile, an upcoming experience set in the same universe as MW2.
A few months earlier, an invitation was sent for a number of players and content creators to test the upcoming Warzone Mobile experience. Now, the closed alpha access has seemingly been granted to a number of players, and some data miners have managed to pull out a few Modern Warfare 2 screenshots from Warzone Mobile’s data.
The images showcase multiple loading screens for some Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps, but since they are under NDA from Activision, we can’s share the images with you here. That being said, you can check out the leaked images via this link.
The screenshots belong to the Grand Prix, Oilfield, Museum, and SABA (codename) maps from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Thus far, we have only seen Grand Prix in the official trailers of the game. Moreover, the leaks also cover three maps from the Ground War mode in the upcoming Call of Duty experience from Infinity Ward. These two maps are called Hydro, Sira, and Fishtown.
The leak gets even more interesting when you know that Warzone Mobile’s data also includes some screenshots from the Call of Duty 2024, which is supposed to be delivered by Treyarch.
If the concept for the game has not been changed so far, it seems like Treyarch’s Call of Duty also targets a modern or even a slightly futuristic era, based on the screenshot that showcases a modern fighter inside a US military site in a desert.
We will update this post with more new details if receive any new leaks from the data miners. However, it remains unknown that why these screenshots have been stored in Warzone Mobile’s alpha version.
Infinity Ward recently revealed that the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the beginning of a new era in the series, and we already know that Warzone 2 and Warzone Mobile are both set in the same universe, but it remains unknown how Treyarch’s next Call of Duty could relate to this new universe.
