New Forspoken Patch 1.10 Includes Visual Improvements, CPU Optimizations, FPS Improvements, Bug Fixes and More

Square Enix will release Forspoken patch 1.10 for PC and PS5 later today. This update will include visual improvements, CPU optimizations, and various bug fixes.

The new patch was detailed on the Japanese Square Enix forums just now (and spotted by Genki_JPN). Aside from the above-mentioned changes and improvements, this update will also offer gameplay changes, including adjustments to the game’s camera position, and new options. As for the graphical improvements, this patch includes adjustments of textures and shadows, changes to lighting, changes to the number of polygons in the background, and improved glare filter quality.

Other changes include the removal of VRS on PC from the optional graphics settings. As said, this update also offers CPU optimizations on PC, including reduced CPU processing load, and reduced VRAM usage. Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that sometimes causes noise on the screen when using AMD Radeon RX570, RX580 (PC version)
  • Fixed an issue where, on rare occasions, high-brightness noise would appear on the screen (PlayStation 5 version).

Changes in gameplay

  • Adjusted the camera position and description text at the start of the tutorial for the parkour ability “Tethered”
  • Added an option to select whether to automatically open the last opened page when opening the main menu.
  • Added an option to select whether or not to automatically point the camera at the target enemy when locking on while accumulating magic.
  • Added an option to select whether or not to automatically lock-on to nearby enemies when defeating an enemy.
  • Added an option to select whether or not to lock on to enemies outside the screen.
  • Added an option to choose whether or not Frey flinch when he touches his own magic.
  • Adjustment of some motions and behaviors when enemies are attacked
  • Adjusted to attack in the facing direction when Saira’s magic “Magic Attack” is activated

graphics adjustment

  • Partial adjustment of lighting in Sipar
  • Adjusted the effects that occur when looking at bright objects such as the sun
  • Adjustment of textures and shadows of some objects
  • Adjusted the number of polygons in some backgrounds
  • Improved glare filter quality
  • Adjusted to display the required memory usage in the configuration settings (PC version)
  • Adjusted so that the brightness of the screen can be set before the start of play when playing for the first time.

Other adjustments

  • VRS” has been removed from the optional graphics items ( PC version)
  • DirectX 12 version changed from 1.4.10 to 1.606.4 (PC version)
