New Battersea Power Station hotel boasts rooftop pool with incredible views
Fancy a swim with picture-perfect city views?
You won’t need to go far to enjoy just that, as a new hotel at Battersea Power Station has its own stunning rooftop pool, offering a dip with a difference.
Art’otel, part of the area’s £9 billion renovation, opened its doors this week, comprising 164 rooms directly beside the iconic former power station.
The luxury hotel chain focuses on spotlighting the work of creatives, with the interiors at the BPS location curated by contemporary Spanish designer Jaime Hayon.
It also features an exhibition space with bi-monthly artists in residence, along with a swish Italian eatery, the Tozi Grand Café.
However the pool, situated on Art’otel’s roof terrace, is arguably its standout feature.
The infinity pool gives swimmers a unique viewpoint of Battersea Power Station’s famous chimneys, backdropped by the London skyline in all its glory.
Promotional images show guests relaxing on loungers and soaking up breathtaking vistas from the 16th floor deck, which we imagine will be a hotspot for Instagram flexing come summer.
Thankfully the pool is also heated, meaning you don’t have to wait that long to take the plunge.
A rooftop bar serves cocktails for an exclusive experience, while a sauna, steam room, and spa treatment facilities allow visitors to switch off from the city if they so wish.
Rooms aren’t exactly cheap, with prices for Radisson Rewards members starting at £299.25 per night.
But for fans of art, architecture, and non-touristy sightseeing, it’s a price that’s well worth paying.
A stay here would make an impressive gift or couples city break – just remember to bring your cossie.
Rooms are available to book on the Art’otel Battersea Power Station website.
