Netflix’s We Have A Ghost Casts Anthony Mackie, David Harbour, More
Netflix has revealed the star-studded cast of its upcoming horror movie, We Have a Ghost. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie stars Stranger Things’ David Harbour, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s Anthony Mackie, Army of the Dead’s Tig Notaro, Jennifer Coolidge, and Charm City Kings’ Jahi Di’Allo Winston.
We Have a Ghost also features Erica Ash (Survivor’s Remorse), Niles Fitch (This Is Us), Isabella Russo (Crashing), Faith Ford (Hope & Faith), and Steve Coulter (The Conjuring). Happy Death Day and Freaky director Chrisopher Landon will direct as well as write the script for the movie. We Have a Ghost is based on Geoff Manaugh’s short story Ernest and it follows Kevin and family, who find a ghost called Ernest in their new home. They turn into overnight social media sensations after discovering the ghost. However, when Kevin tries to investigate the mysterious past of Ernest, he becomes a target of the CIA.
Dan Halsted, Marty Bowen, and Isaac Klausner will produce We Have a Ghost and Landon, Manaugh, John Fischer, Nathan Miller, and Korey Budd will serve as executive producers. Netflix hasn’t revealed when the movie will start filming or when it will be released.
Netflix is expanding its library of horror movies with several new movies including the recently released Fear Street trilogy. Fear Street director Leigh Janiak is hoping to expand the trilogy into a horror universe, similar to the MCU. If Fear Street is received well by viewers, Janiak would be planning to even more trilogies, standalone movies, and TV shows.
