Netflix users get free new perk perfect for your New Year goals
NETFLIX is running off into new territory that’s sure to get users in a sweat.
The streaming giant has signed a deal with Nike to show fitness classes.
It’s conveniently launching on December 30.
Perfect timing to shift those Christmas pounds and kickstart your New Years resolutions.
You might even be able to save some money by not bothering with the gym.
Or maybe you just fancy something different after bingeing on the latest TV boxset.
Nike Training Club episodes will be released in two batches.
The first bunch – with 46 classes – will include five different categories.
They’ll cover fitness basics, as well as core, yoga and HIIT.
There will be about 30 hours of content to keep you working out in total.
The second batch of episodes will follow later in 2023.
Netflix’s move is quite similar to other from home-based efforts in recent years, like Peloton and Apple Fitness Plus.
Except with these classes they don’t need any expensive equipment tied to Nike.
Fitness is the latest new category Netflix has gone into.
The Stranger Things maker started an interactive quiz earlier this year.
And it’s also expanded into gaming, with free apps linked to its most popular shows.
These can be downloaded on iOS and Android.
The fitness episodes launching on December 30 will be broken down in five parts.
13 episodes are for Kickstart Fitness with the Basics.
Seven are for Two Weeks to a Stronger Core.
Six are devoted to Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga.
The biggest is HIT & Strength with Tara, which has 14 episodes.
And Feel-Good Fitness has a further six.
