Netflix Reportedly Working on TV Games That Can Be Controlled Through Smartphones

Many know Netflix as the streaming giant responsible for bringing our beloved movies and TV series. But what many don’t know is that the platform also offers access to a whole range of games across various genres, which fall under the umbrella of its existing subscription.

Recently we reported that Netflix plans to become one of the “industry leaders” in the video game scene. And it seems like Netflix plans to deliver on that promise, as new developments of its gaming venture have been revealed.

According to a report by Bloomberg, code found by popular developer, Steve Moser, reveals that Netflix is working on a new feature that will allow users to play games directly on their television screen.

Furthermore, the code also revealed that players will be able to take advantage of their smartphones as a controller for the games they play on the TV. The code that was locked within the Netflix iOS app revealed prompts such as “A game on your TV needs a controller to play. Do you want to use this phone as a game controller?”
