Netflix customers are realising they’re missing out on THREE essential features

NETFLIX customers are just realising they haven’t been getting the full streaming experience they’re paying for.

There’s three essential features many Netflix viewers aren’t utilising.

TV shows and films you didn't like don't have to stay in your 'Continue Watching' list forever

Stream in HD

All Netflix subscription, Standard-with-Ads, Standard and Premium, plans now offer high-definition (HD) streaming.

It used to be only the Basic plan that didn’t, however, Netflix abruptly axed the cheap deal earlier this month.

If you’re a Premium subscriber, you can stream your TV shows and movies in Ultra HD.

To make sure you’re streaming in the best video quality possible, go to your playback settings to check.

You can do this by clicking the account icon, tapping your profile, and navigating to playback settings.

From here, you can adjust to HD or Ultra HD if your subscription allows for it.

But it’s important to note, the higher the quality of picture you choose, the more data you will use to stream content – which can get pricey if you’re using the Netflix app on your iPhone or Android.

Be Smarter with the Search Bar

The search bar lets you do much more than simply search the name of a show or film you’re looking for.

If you’re looking for a movie but can’t remember the name, you can try searching for a keyword related to the movie, such as the genre or an actor’s name.

You can even get a bit more creative and search ‘Academy Award-Winning’ to watch a movie you wouldn’t have known otherwise – but is likely to be pretty good.

Alternatively, you can try Netflix’s secret search bar menu.

It’s the key to becoming a TV and film connoisseur, and escaping the ‘doom loop’ of re-watching the same things over and over.

Tidy your ‘Continue Watching’ List

Your ‘Continue Watching’ list is a saint if you like to get stuck into more than one TV show at a time, or you can’t help but doze off before the end of a movie.

But if you stop watching a show or movie halfway because you’re just not that into it, it will remain in your ‘continue watching’ row til the end of time.

That is unless, you manually get rid of it.

All you need to do is hover over the thumbnail of the content you want to delete and click the X to remove it.

If you’re using the Netflix app on a smartphone, just click the three vertical dots below the thumbnail and tap ‘Remove from row’.
