Neri Naig gives glimpse of college graduation: ‘Kung kaya ko, mas kayo n’yo’
Neri Naig has finally graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and she showed fans some moments from her in-person graduation rites.
The celebrity mother and entrepreneur attended the graduation ceremony with her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, June 30.
“GRADUATE NA AKOOOOOO! Natapos din!” Naig said. “Thankful ako sa asawa kong palaging and’yan for me to support me. Masaya lang siya kahit nasa gilid lang at pinapalakpakan ako sa mga achievements ko. Mas magaan ang buhay kapag may nag-eencourage sa’yo at naniniwala sa kakayanan mo. Thank you, asawa ko.”
(I graduated! Finally! I am thankful to my husband who was always there to support me. He is happy even when he is just at the sidelines, applauding me for my achievements. Life feels lighter when someone encourages you and believes in your abilities. Thank you, my husband.)
Naig also addressed those who are hoping to pursue further education and gave them tips on how they could achieve their dreams.
“Sa lahat ng nakakabasa nito, kung kaya ko, mas kayo n’yo. Kung wala pang budget, mag-ipon ka lang. Iba-iba man ang journey natin, ‘yung iba mas mauuna, may male-late lang konti, meron matagal talagang dumating kagaya ng sa akin,” she told them.
(To all of you reading this, if I can, then you can do better. If you do not have a budget yet, just save. We all have different journeys, others are ahead, some are slightly late, some take a lot of time to get there like me.)
According to Naig, staying positive and keeping herself productive helped her earn her college degree. She encouraged the public to be kind, be happy for other people’s success, treat others fairly, avoid “toxic” people and share blessings, among others.
Naig first teased her graduation last month, when she showed her graduation photo. She disclosed at the time that she completed her bachelor’s degree under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), an alternative education program.
Prior to this, Naig finished an online course on entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School Online. /ra
