NEP will ensure the overall development of the students: Sharan – Times of India

CHANDIGARH: Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Haryana Anand Mohan Sharan said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to implement National Education Policy (NEP) completely. When the higher education system is moving towards a big change, then we also have an important participation in it. The NEP provides an opportunity for every institution, University, teacher, and student to display creativity and innovation.

He was speaking as the chief guest in a one-day workshop organized by CDLU on the topic “Process and Challenges in implementing NEP-2020” in UG programs of respective colleges/institutions at the Auditorium of Chaudhary Devi Lal University(CDLU) on Tuesday.
The ACS was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Ajmer Singh Malik and he apprised the Chief Guest that CDLU has introduced six programs as per NEP at University School for Graduate Studies in 2021.

Sharan said that the implementation of NEP-2020 will be done soon in UG and integrated programs of Chaudhary Devi Lal University-related colleges and institutes.
He said that the NEP document needs to be read. He called upon all the teachers to develop some smart ways to implement the college NEP and make smart classrooms in their place. If there is a shortage, of faculty, then for some time, pre-recorded lectures can fulfill this shortage.
CDLU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ajmer Singh Malik while presiding over the program, said that the CDLU is playing a leading role in implementing the National Education Policy-2020 from the academic session 2021-2022 in the UG programs of colleges and institutions affiliated with Chaudhary Devi Lal University. Faculty from University and affiliated colleges are active members of the workshop.
