NEET PG 2023 will be held on March 5, says Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The NEET PG 2023 exam will be conducted as per the schedule on March 5 for candidates who are aspiring to get admission to postgraduate medical courses, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told on Friday to Lok Sabha.
Mandaviya’s ministry extended the NEET-PG cut-off date from June 30, 2023 to August 11, 2023 for the MBBS students who have not yet completed their mandatory one-year internship.
Congress member Gaurav Gogoi raised the concern in Lok Sabha and sought information on health ministry’s stand on the students’ demand for postponement of the NEET PG 2023 exam for a few months.
“On March 5, the exam has to be held and this was announced five months ago. Those students, who had to appear in entrance test, are already preparing,” Mandaviya said in response.
“Earlier exams were delayed by 7-8 months and later by four months….If I keep on delaying, such a situation will come….,” he said, adding that, “It is very necessary to fix it”.
Some of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) aspirants have been continuously demanding to postpone the entrance test, citing delay in their internship completion.
A doctors’ group, including NEET-PG candidates, held a protest in Delhi on Tuesday under the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) banner, demanding from government to postpone the entrance examination.
