NBA star Pippen damages Chicago Bulls’ legacy with continued assault on MJ
Chicago Bulls forward and National Basketball Association star Scotty Maurice Pippen, who won six championships with the team in the 90s, is in news for all the wrong reasons again. This time, the 2010’s ‘hall of fame’ player, made headlines for his harsh comments directed at none other than another NBA legend Michael Jordan himself, reported pippenainteasy.com on 27 May.
Criticising the G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan, Pippen didn’t hold back. The website suspects reasons being his negligent treatment in ‘The Last Dance’ documentary, or a sense of resentment for not having the same financial success or probably Jordan’s son is now romantically involved with Pippen’s ex-wife.
However, these comments only serve to make Scottie look bad, not Mike.
“I seen Michael Jordan play before he came to play with the Bulls, you guys seen him play” Pippen said, “He was a horrible player. He was horrible to play with.”
What’s worse is Jordan was incredibly successful at taking those bad shots. Jordan averaged 37.1 points per game, a year before Pippen joined the Bulls. While Scottie was riding the bench as a rookie, Jordan only got more efficient with an average of 35 points per game on 60.3% true shooting, reported the website.
Following the comment by Pippen in the video, it received replies filled with thousands of commenters laughing at the ridiculous nature of Pippen’s comments. Once again he was opted to become the punching bag for easy jokes, instead of soaking in his legacy and keeping to himself in retirement.
