Native 4K Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on PC With More Than 60FPS on an RTX 4090 Through Both Yuzu & Ryujinx

The latest Zelda installment has only been out for a month, but The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is already running beautifully on PC in native 4K with more than 60FPS.

Over the past few weeks, we have reported on several updates for the popular Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators that improve the visuals and performance of Tears of the Kingdom, emulated on PC. It’s good to mention that some crafty modders already managed to get Nintendo’s latest Zelda running on PC even before the game launched globally. Back then, we already suggested that it would be likely that the game would be looking and running great on the popular Switch emulators in no time.

Fast forward a little over a month, and with the recently-released dynamic FPS mods for Ryujinx and Yuzu, the title is running with over 60FPS in native 4K resolution on an NVIDIA RTX 4090. Coming from a locked 30FPS in 900p/720p resolution on Nintendo’s hybrid platform, it’s not only great that the game can be emulated on PC, but it’s also quite an upgrade. Then again, you’ll need quite the setup in order to be able to achieve this kind of visuals and performance. As always with emulated games, you’ll need to legally own a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to emulate it via Yuzu or Ryujinx.
