NASCAR at Watkins Glen live updates, results, highlights from the 2021 road race
NASCAR is back after a three-week hiatus, and heading to Watkins Glen, N.Y., for the Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
It appears Sunday’s race will be two-driver affair between Chase Elliott, winner of the last two races at the New York road track, and Martin Truex Jr., who has scored a top-two finish in each of his last three visits (including a win in 2017).
There’s also the added intrigue of NASCAR’s 16-driver playoff race, with only four regular-season races left to determine the final playoff field: Aric Almirola won his first race of the season at the Foxwood Resorts Casino 301 on July 18, giving the season 13 unique winners and placing winless Kevin Harvick and Tyler Reddick — currently the last two projected drivers in the playoff — something to sweat about over the last month of the season.
