Nargis Fakhri reveals how taking a break from work had her happier than ever
Nargis Fakhri made her Bollywood debut with the 2011 movie Rockstar which earned her widespread recognition. She went on to play a journalist in the political thriller Madras Cafe which also marks one of her career-defining roles. However, the actress made headlines when she decided to take a break from acting.
In a recent interview with a leading publication, the actress opened up about her decision to take a break. Nargis admitted that by the end, she was not left with an option as she never had a day off work. She revealed that even when she was able to take a day off, her friends and family were a 24-hour plane ride away. She couldn’t get together with her loved ones or have the time to recharge. This made her rethink working so hard when she couldn’t enjoy the fruits of her labour.
She also shared that when she initially thought of taking time off, people warned her saying if she took a break, she would go off the radar. However, she took the chance and finds herself happier than ever.
In a recent interview with a leading publication, the actress said she is all set to make a comeback. She said, “I am definitely looking to do a lot more. I am really open to doing all sorts of roles that come my way. But if you ask me to talk about genres, then I would definitely like to explore films that are drama, action and comedy.”
