Namaste England actress Alankrita Sahai held hostage, robbed of over Rs 6 lakhs

Namaste England actress Alankrita Sahai was robbed of INR 6.5 lakhs at knifepoint at her residence in Chandigarh. Namaste England starred actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. According to a leading daily, three people broke into Alankrita Sahai’s apartment at 12:30 PM in the afternoon and held her hostage. Allegedly, one of the robbers took her ATM card and withdrew INR 50,000 from her account while the other two held her at home.

According to media reports, the actress suspects a man who delivered furniture to her home over the weekend. The robbers were caught on CCTV camera but managed to escape via her balcony even as she screamed for help. Alankrita Sahai was crowned Miss India Earth in 2014. “I wake up and do my paath and gratitude journal, workout, paint, and read a lot. I talk to my loved ones and check in on them; I try my best to help people. I have been dealing with it much better than last time. I have learned to be patient and more understanding towards myself and others. I do my best to be there for people and take care of myself too. So, I have a routine. Then there are OTT platforms that have been a real lifesaver during these lockdowns,” she had told ETimes earlier.
