Naga Chaitanya’s team confirms he won’t star in the Telugu remake of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Naga Chaitanya will not appear in the Telugu adaptation of Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, contrary to recent speculations.  The actor’s team issued a statement denying reports that he had agreed to the film.

It was reported that Jyotika had been signed to play Tabu’s part and that Naga would reprise Kartik Aaryan’s character.

Chaitanya’s team issued a statement indicating that he will not be appearing in the remake. The statement read, “FACT CHECK: The news which is being circulated on social media regarding @Chay_Akkineni doing the south remake of #BhoolBhulaiya2 is completely false. Requesting the respected media handles not to spread the fake news.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released in May 2022, starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu in lead roles. The film was helmed by Anees Bazmee and was a hit at the box office. The film is a standalone sequel to the 2007 psychological horror Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is all set to reprise his role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Naga Chaitanya will make his web series and Tamil debut with Dhootha.
