Myles Garrett’s graveyard, explained: Here are the NFL QBs sacked the most by Browns pass-rusher
Kyler Murray wasn’t happy to hear that his name was in the graveyard.
No, not the actual cemetery, but the one in the front yard of Myles Garrett’s home. The Browns’ defensive lineman has put up headstones for all the quarterbacks he has taken down this season, as well as some he was hoping to reach.
At the time of the graveyard, Garrett and the Browns had yet to play the Cardinals.

“Why you got me in the graveyard, dog?” Murray asked Garrett.
“I need some added motivation,” Garrett responded.
“At least mind didn’t have an ‘RIP’ over it,” Murray said.
But by the end of the game, Garrett added a sack of Murray to his now-NFL-leading 8.0 sacks.
What is the origin behind Garrett’s spoky graveyard? And which QBs should have the largest plots out there? SN dives in.
Why does Myles Garrett have a graveyard in his front yard?
Photos from Cleveland.com showed that there are a few QBs in the plot. There’s Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Murray, Mac Jones, Joe Burrow, Justin Fields and Ben Roethlisberger out there.
Speaking to the media, Garrett explained that he, his family and friends decided it would be something fun to do for Halloween.

“I’m kind of a troll a little it, and the people in my house like to have fun,” Garrett explained in a video from Cleveland.com.
Garrett said that neither he nor his dad did the painting on the gravestones, but instead they had it sent to someone to ahve it done up for him. Garrett said his neighbors and his family and friends have enjoyed how the setup has turned out.
The graveyard had drawn added attention to Garrett’s house, and not all of it has been welcome. Garrett said he has been blocked in his driveway and that people have just driven up to the house to look at it.
“I didn’t think people would invade my privacy like that, but they’re there,” Garrett said. “It’s strange to have people coming by my house. Hopefully they can leave me be because that’s my place of refuge and residence, and I don’t like people just driving by for whatever reason.”
Come on, people. If you want to see Garrett’s real graveyard, you just have to watch his opponents’ backfield at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Which quarterbacks has Garrett sacked the most?
Garrett has been a true terror to NFL QBs since his first season in the league in 2017.
He had seven sacks in his rookie year and has tallied double-digit totals each season since then, with his most coming in 2018 when he recorded 13.5.
Garrett did not put out headstones for each quarterback he has taken down — that would take 32 headstones, according to Stathead.
But if he was to give each QB the proper plot space based on how much he’s taken them down, there are certainly a few that would take up more space than other.

Garrett has faced Bears rookie Justin Fields only once, but Fields was taken down by Garrett 4.5 times, the most of any quarterback. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger is next up on the list as he’s been sacked four times by Garrett. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is third at 3.0 sacks.
Here’s a full look at the quarterbacks taken down by Garrett.
Quarterback | Team | Sacked |
Justin Fields | Bears | 4.5 |
Ben Roethlisberger | Steelers | 4.0 |
Deshaun Watson | Texans | 3.0 |
Joe Burrow | Bengals | 3.0 |
Marcus Mariota | Titans | 3.0 |
Sam Darnold | Jets | 3.0 |
Dak Prescott | Cowboys | 2.0 |
Patrick Mahomes | Chiefs | 2.0 |
Jameis Winston | Buccaneers | 2.0 |
Josh McCown | Jets | 2.0 |
Luke Falk | Jets | 2.0 |
Russell Wilson | Seahawks | 2.0 |
Dwayne Haskins | Washington | 2.0 |
Garrett has never sacked Teddy Bridgewater — or Drew Lock, should the Broncos’ backup get the nod. Will he be looking to add another headstone? Almost certainly.
