Mylene Paat announces engagement to Kazakh volleyball player
MANILA, Philippines—Mylene Paat is now engaged to Kazakh volleyball player Sergey Rezanov.
The Philippine women’s volleyball team star on Saturday made a surprising announcement that she said yes to the 28-year-old opposite spiker.
“We have different countries, different times, different languages, and different colors. The important thing is that we love each other. And knowing that we have the same desire. It’s a YES, my King,” wrote Paat on Instagram
Both Paat and Rezanov played as imports for Nakhon Ratchasima QminC in the 2021-22 Volleyball Thailand League.
Rezanov played for Alahly Benghazi Sports Club in Libya, while Paat has been with Premier Volleyball League club Chery Tiggo for the past three years and won the Reinforced Conference MVP last December.
Paat tried her luck in the Korean V-League but MJ Phillips was the lone Filipino drafted in the women’s division.
Paat will fly to Cambodia to represent the Philippine women’s volleyball team in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
