Myleene Klass revisits iconic I’m A Celeb bikini in smouldering shoot

Myleene Klass wasn’t able to dress up in the original bikini as it was auctioned off for a mammoth £7,500 – but fans would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the one she slipped on to celebrate her 45th birthday and the original.

17 years have passed since the ex-Hear’Say star first appeared in the jungle, and now she is due to make a special guest appearance in tonight’s show.

Yet it seems fans are still mesmerised by the smouldering shower scenes they saw in 2006 – and though other celebrities have donned a copy-cat all-white bikini and joked that they were “doing a Myleene” in the years since, she is known as the one who debuted the look.

The star, whose modelling career took off after appearing in the jungle, looks back fondly on that period of her life – and has revealed that initially she hadn’t intended to bring a white bikini with her at all.

“I remember one of the show’s producers looking at my bikinis in the hotel before I went to camp,” she reflected, adding that one of her choices didn’t meet with official approval.

Earlier this month, Myleene recreated her famous shoot astride a bike in celebration of turning 45 on April 6.

Thanking fans for their “lovely messages… support and love,” she declared: “Here’s to the next 45 years my friends. I’m off for a bike ride, a swim and some cake!”

The bikini she was seen in, a dead ringer for her original, is now available via her new clothing collection for Next.

Meanwhile, the star made a surprise appearance in the jungle, much to the astonishment of Carol Vorderman, Jordan Banjo, Helen Flanagan and the rest, when it was filmed last September.

The scenes will be screened on tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which airs at 9pm on ITV.
