My parked car was written off after it was rammed 20ft down the road by bus
A MUM was left fuming when her parked car was written off after being rammed 20ft down the road by a reckless bus driver.
Sienna Evans, 34, was at her home on Central Hill, Crystal Palace, when the 432 bus smashed into her Volvo SUV and pushed it three doors down the road on Monday.
She was in her kitchen when she heard the sound of glass smashing but ignored it until her son ran inside and said her car alarm was blaring.
Sienna told MyLondon: “I rushed out to see what it was then realised my car wasn’t where I parked it, it was 20 feet down the road crashed into a fence.
“My first thought was that someone had tried to steal it and had crashed. But then I saw a bus had stopped 60 feet down the road.
“I couldn’t believe it. It’s a pretty big car, it would have taken some pushing to get it that far.”
The 432 had crashed into the back of her vehicle, pushing it down road and spinning it round, before it ended up mangled down the road.
Sienna frantically rushed over to the bus and asked the driver to check if he was ok.
The driver didn’t suffer any injuries and remained calm as confused passengers hoped off the bus.
He was collected by colleagues from his bus depot, despite Sienna asking him to stay until police got to the scene.
Sienna was devastated at the wreck by after waiting a year for the car which had been leased to her under the motability scheme, which supplies disabled people with accessible cars.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed they were called with reports of the crash at 2.33pm on Monday.
They said: “Officers attended and established that a bus had struck a parked car, pushing it against an adjacent building.
“There were no reports of any injuries.”
A spokesperson for the bus company, Arriva, said they’re aware of the incident and an investigation has been launched.
