‘My 600-lb Life’ star dead: Larry Myers Jr. was 49

Larry Myers Jr., best known as Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits on TLC’s “My 600-lb Life,” has died. He was 49.

A family member confirmed Tuesday to the Sun that Myers Jr. died of a heart attack.

“Hey Facebook Family. It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of my dear cousin Larry Myers,” Todd Darell, who claims to be Meyers’ cousin, wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.

“Many of you know him as Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits. If you can help us we would greatly appreciate it. Larry has fought the good fight. He has overcome some of the biggest Challenges he has ever had to face. Rest well Junior, you will be missed.”

The Post has contacted TLC and family members of Myers for comment.

Myers appeared in Season 10 Episode 13, titled “Larry’s Journey,” which first aired in January 2022 and offered this description: “For Larry, a second surgery means a second chance as a gospel singer.”

He earned the nickname “Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits” after going viral for singing a ditty about buttermilk biscuits at a chicken restaurant.

“I eat to comfort myself. When I’m cooking, it’s the only time I’m happy, besides when I’m eating,” he said on the show, according to Distractify.

“So it’s the time that I like to sing, and I sing gospel. Because the rest of the time, when I’m not eating, most of my thoughts are morbidly depressing.”

Myers gained 400 pounds five years after his first weight loss procedure, which led him to “600-lb Life” obesity surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.

Myers weighed 940 pounds and was bedbound when he appeared on the show.

In an Instagram video post this past February, he said that, despite a detractor’s suggestion, it was not “the end” for the reality star.

“There’s nothing too hard for God and Larry that God and Larry can’t do. Nothing!” he defiantly declared.
