Musk: Cage or Colosseum: Italy minister reportedly wants Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg to fight like ‘gladiators’ – Times of India

Neither Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao nor Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald (UFC) may go down as the greatest fight in recent history. The Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg fight has purportedly attracted more eyeballs than any other match in this digital world. The ‘battle’ between two ‘tech bros’ – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter owner Elon Musk – ‘decided’ to take place in Las Vegas but if reports are to be believed, there might be a change in the venue.
According to an online report, the Minister of Culture of the government of Italy connected with Zuckerberg asking him to fight against Musk at The Colosseum in Rome – widely regarded as the most fabled and legendary fight theatre in the world.

Citing sources, the report said that both Musk and Zuckerberg “would love for the fight to go down at the Colosseum.” Furthermore, Zuckerberg’s people contacted UFC president Dana White, whose people contacted the Italian minister.

Inside or outside Colosseum
The venue is one of the 7 Wonders of the World and legends have it that this arena has witnessed gladiators perish. Reportedly, there have not been large events held inside the amphitheatre, which can seat only a few hundred spectators.
However, there have been concerts outside the structure. Sir Paul McCartney in 2003 performed inside the Colosseum for a charity show and people paid up to $1,500 to watch him.

So there’s no clarity whether Musk vs Zuckerberg will take place inside or outside – if it happens in the first place.
Musk ‘approves’
Musk has reacted to the news. He said in a tweet, “Some chance fight happens in Colosseum.” In a separate tweet, he shared a small clip, Life of Brian Colosseum fight, and wrote, “Need to work on my endurance.” Musk recently did an impromptu training session with MIT research scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman.
