A MUM has revealed the genius travel hack she uses to help her kids get some sleep on a flight – but there’s a catch.
Kayleigh Gawn was recently travelling on a flight with her partner and their young child when she tried out the item.

In a video that she posted on TikTok, Kayleigh showed how she used a pump to blow up an inflatable travel footrest, which fit perfectly in the gap between her seat and the one in front.
This allowed her small daughter to fully stretch out and lie down on the flight.
Kayleigh said: “If you’re flying with your toddler, then this one is for you.
“We purchased this blow-up pillow off of Amazon and it came with a pump and it fills the space between your seat as well as the tray table in front of you.
“This allows your toddler to stretch out during nap time or just lounging, it was a game-changer.”
The video has had more than 4.8 million views, and left many people feeling impressed.
One person wrote: “Never mind a toddler, I need that for me.”
The inflatable airbed can be purchased for as little as £15.29 on Amazon.
Despite it being described as a “game-changer”, there is a catch, as many airlines don’t allow the inflatable footrest to be used during flights.
A downside that was picked up by several users in the comments.
One flight attendant added: “Although this is allowed, most airlines will tell you to place it at the window seat in the event of an emergency.
“It also wouldn’t be allowed in the exit row for my airline, maybe other airlines are different but we usually have similar protocols.”
Meanwhile, other users named the airlines that do and don’t allow the product to be used.
British Airways, United, and Qantas are some of the airlines which do not allow inflatable footrests to be used.
For those parents who don’t want to take the risk, Flyaway, a brand that sells inflatable beds, has catalogued the airlines that do accept them.
They claim that those airlines include easyJet, Jet2, and KLM.
Meanwhile, another mum has praised the game-changing household item that makes travelling with young children a breeze.
Amy shared her top travel hack after going on a long-haul flight with a toddler.
She said: “We had a fabulous flight after buying a dog bed for my son to sleep on.
“We laid it across the seats with him sleeping between us and he loved it.
“We could easily secure his seatbelt around him while on top of it and we folded it up under our arm when transiting.”
One flight attendant said she saw a mum bring “three dog beds” for her kids to use as pillows.
