Mum furious at 4×4 driver’s parking at supermarket – is she overreacting?

A SHOPPER was left furious after a car was parked over two spaces at a leisure park on a busy Saturday.

The woman, who wished to remain nameless, fumed when she saw a large 4×4 Range Rover taking up two parking bays at Teesside Park in Stockton-on-Tees.

The retail and leisure park is a favourite among locals from the County Durham town as well as nearby Middlesbrough, and is visited by thousands each week.

The mother-of-two, who had popped out on Saturday, March 12, took a quick snap of the large black motor to expose the selfish act at the already crowded car park.

“I’m fuming. I went to Teesside Park to do some shopping for the day”, she told Teesside Live.

“I knew it was going to be busy, after all, it is a Saturday.

“When I was trying to navigate my way through to find a parking space, I came across a big Chelsea tractor at Teesside Park taking up two parking spaces!

“It’s bad enough trying to find a space on a weekend here – I know the car is big but come on now.

“You can’t park like that! Teesside Park? More like Teesside can’t park.”

After a period of essential maintenance works at the cark park in January, parking availability was heavily reduced.

The closure marked the beginning of a programme of works expected to last two to three months, a Teesside Park spokesperson previously said.

It comes after a parking war broke out on a suburban street after a vigilante left “sinister” notes on cars.
