Move It targets 1M app users in 2023

MANILA  -Motorcycle taxi platform Move It is targeting to onboard 1 million users this year following the launch of its new mobile application amid the growing demand for alternative transportation with the resurgence of mobility.

Wayne Jacinto, Move It general manager, said in a briefing in Pasig on Tuesday that the new app was expected to encourage more Filipinos to tap its services. The ride-hailing services company currently has over 100,000 users.

Jacinto said the app has enough capacity to accommodate user traffic volume, assuring the passengers that it would not crash at any point.

The app shows a definite fare computation, including a breakdown of the costs. In addition, he said the digital platform provides accurate pickup and dropoff points for riders.

The motorcycle taxi firm also integrated cashless payment options, such as debit and credit cards, amid the increasing adoption of digital solutions.

“As we strive to always provide the lowest fares, transparent practices, and highest bar of safety, our upgraded app provides a seamless journey that brings our key commitments to life – providing Filipinos with a clean, honest, and reliable motorcycle taxi service they can trust,” Jacinto said.

The general manager pointed out the new app will provide usage efficiency on the part of Move It’s rider partners while passengers will enjoy a user-friendly interface.

Currently, Move It has about 6,500 riders and it is keen on maximizing the 15,000-rider cap. Jacinto, however, said the limit could still be expanded to up to 45,000 so it can meet the demand. INQ
