There’s many things we love about Pharrell Williams – and we have to say his own fashion line, deliciously named Icecream, has to be up there.
The musical maestro is single-handedly responsible for creating the soundtrack to our teenage party years. I mean, we seriously every time we hear Beautiful a wave of nostalgia and the stench of nightclub alcopops comes washing over us.
And the man can dress. One moment he’s tailored and suited and the next he’s rocking a skater boi style and looking the same as he did back in 2002.
Lest we forget his giant hat circa 2014. People mocked him and some even described him as a cross between Woody from Toy Story and a Canadian mountie. But Pharrell kept rocking ‘The Hat’ and soon it became a trend that Zendaya, Jared Leto and even Grumpy Cat sported.
Let’s face it, Pharrell could rock the tabard from our Rainbow days and the fashion elite would be scrambling to their sewing machines to whip up a fresh line. At least that’s how we imagine trends start, right? Just lots of manic sewing and a photo of Pharrell hanging on the wall.
So when we heard that Pharrell had a new clothing range with his iconic Icecream brand, we knew we’d be in for a stylish treat.
And like a sip of white wine after a long working day or the feeling of the sun on our skin when we first step foot off the plane, it does not disappoint.
The star loves himself a Varsity jacket and has rocked many styles over the years. In his latest range, there’s cool bomber jackets in the retro style design and pieces with a skull and bone design emblazoned across the front.
The range also sees the return of the Running Puppy graphic. Is it just us, or is there something about the paint-style print on jeans that gives us early noughties Evisu vibes?
The green and beige waffle knit is definitely a throwback to Pharrell’s geek chic style of the N.E.R.D days, plus there’s a green sweater vest that we can just picture Harry Styles rocking. Or Chandler Bing. The GOAT sweater vest wearer.
