Synopsis
Airlines are hopeful that the third wave will subside by the first week of February. They are betting on a quick rebound in passenger traffic to pre-pandemic levels and a busy first quarter in the next fiscal to mitigate losses. But into the third year without any salary hikes, there is growing unrest among employees.
A few days back, some IndiGo pilots reluctantly agreed to sit in a company cab to be taken for a Covid-19 test ahead of their upcoming international flight.
