Mohamed Salah breaks two records with Liverpool’s third goal vs Man Utd

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah broke another two records by scoring his side’s third goal against bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. The Egyptian maestro guided the ball home as half-time approached after Naby Keita and Diogo Jota had given the Reds a two-goal advantage during a clinical first-half display at Old Trafford.

Liverpool were at their brilliant best during the opening 45 minutes, with Salah’s effort capping off an incredible start to the match for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

He went on to add another with just seconds remaining until the interval, finishing off a sweeping team move to help Liverpool go in with a four-goal lead at the break.

Salah has scored 14 goals in all competitions since the beginning of the new season, establishing himself as arguably the world’s best player on current form in the process.

The 29-year-old, who arrived at Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017, is no stranger to breaking records and sealed another pair of impressive achievements with his latest goal against United.

He is now the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history, overtaking Chelsea icon Didier Drogba at the top of the all-time charts.

Salah also became the first Liverpool man to score in three consecutive Old Trafford appearances with his first goal against United.
