Miles Sanders injury update: Eagles running back carted off field, ruled out with ankle injury vs. Raiders
Miles Sanders suffered an apparent ankle injury in the Eagles’ Week 7 game against the Raiders.
Sanders took a hard hit to the legs on a screen pass from Jalen Hurts at the end of the first quarter. He remained on the ground and was tended to by the Eagles’ medical staff after the play.

Sanders walked off the field with assistance from an Eagles staffer. He went to the blue medical tent to get more treatment before being carted to the locker room. He was deemed questionable to return shortly after his injury but was later ruled out for the balance of the game.

If Sanders can’t return to the game, the Eagles will rely heavily on fifth-round rookie Kenneth Gainwell to carry the load against the Raiders. Boston Scott, who had been the primary backup for the Eagles in previous seasons, will also see increased action as well.

Before exiting, Sanders had six carries for 30 yards and the one catch for negative-3 yards. He had 57 rushes for 250 yards in six games this season entering the game.
