Microsoft is reportedly working on ‘Moment 2’ feature drop update for Windows 11 – Times of India
Microsoft is working on several new features for Windows 11 as a part of feature updates called Moments. The operating system has recently received its first Moment update which brought features like tabs in File Explorer, updated multitasking menus and more. It now appears that the company has already started working on the Moment 2 update.
Windows Latest has reported that Microsoft is preparing another Moment update for Windows 11 which is expected to bring some new features on top of Windows 11 22H2. The update, according to the report, will arrive early next year.
A video posted on YouTube by Windows Insider team accidentally showed off a new preview build “23003.ni_moment_directdash_dev1.221018-160”, which as per the report will arrive as the Moment 2 update carrying smaller but new features and improvements. This also means that Moment 2 won’t be a new version of Windows.
It isn’t clear as of the moment what new features the upcoming update will offer. However, some of them have been in test for some time now and reports suggest they are set to arrive with the Moment 2 update. One of them is the touch-optimised taskbar with bigger touch points and a slightly expanded interface.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has recently updated the processor support list for Windows 11 and has added a couple of new Intel and AMD processors, including the recently launched 13th-generation Intel Core processors.
