Michael Keaton Spotted Wearing a Batman Suit in Batgirl Set Photos

One of DC’s most intriguing future projects is the Batgirl movie, which will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Billall Fallah of Bad Boys for Life fame.

The movie’s cast includes Leslie Grace who will play Barbara Gordon and her superhero alter ego. Along with that, it will also see the return of J.K. Simmons as her father in Commissioner Gordon and Brendan Fraser as the antagonist in Firefly.

The movie’s currently being shot in Glasgow, and over the past few weeks, several set photos have given fans glimpses at many of the characters including Grace’s Batgirl and Fraser’s Firefly.

However, the biggest reveal so far has been the first look at Michael Keaton, who will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne for the first time in almost 30 years after playing the Dark Knight in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).

The set photos showcase Keaton wearing his Batman suit, and by the looks of it, it seems like the actor can still make audiences go nuts with his screen presence, even though the character will be much older than Ben Affleck or Robert Pattinson’s version.

Before Keaton plays the role in the Batgirl movie, he will first play the character in The Flash where he will share the screen with Affleck’s Batman.

It’s been noted that the Affleck will be taking up the mantle for the last time in the upcoming movie, and he will soon hand it over to Keaton, who might take up a mentor role for the future superheroes of the DCEU.

While it’s unclear how big of a role he will play in the Batgirl, it’s pretty safe to assume that Leslie Grace’s Barbara Gordon will learn the ropes of fighting crime in Gotham from the man who knows every shady deal taking place in the city, and fans can’t wait to see it when the movie will arrive later this year on HBO Max.
