Michael Jackson’s children have marked what would have been the music star’s 64th birthday with written tributes and a slew of throwback photos on social media.

The singer, who died in 2009 from a cardiac arrest brought on by a propofol overdose, shared the duo with second wife Debbie Rowe.

Prince, 25, and Paris, 24, both reached into the archives to share happy memories of the Thriller star on Monday.

Model and singer Paris posted a picture of herself kissing her dad on the lips as a youngster in a blue dress, reaching out to hold his gloved hand at what looked to be backstage at an event.

‘hbd’ she captioned the picture simply, adding a red emoji heart.

Meanwhile, Prince took his tribute to the grid, writing: ‘Happy birthday to the greatest! Miss you more and more but I love you more and more with each day.’

‘Thank you for everything ????????❤️,’ he finished.

The former child actor led with a photo of himself as a baby in a highchair, gleefully being fed by his dad, while he also included family photos showing Paris and their younger brother Blanket, now 20, in the kitchen doing some baking together and posing in front of the Christmas tree together.

Jackson’s youngest Blanket – who now reportedly goes by ‘Bigi’ and was born Prince Michael Jackson II to Jackson and an unknown surrogate – keeps his life private and doesn’t have any public social media profiles.

Sister LaToya shared a clip of his famous dance routine to Bad, while nephew TJ wrote that there would ‘never be another one like you’.

Taj Jackson and the singer’s sister Jackie also share public tributes, with Prince also posting a video clip of a room full of people celebrating the late star’s birthday and shouting: ‘Happy birthday Michael!’

Paris and Prince spoke movingly of their late father in June at the 2022 Tony Awards, as they introduced a performance by the cast of MJ: The Musical – a stage show based on their father’s life.

The hit Broadway show was a big winner on the night, scooping four of the 10 Tony Awards it was nominated for, including best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical for Myles Frost.

The show, which hit the stage last year and has been criticised by some for overlooking the accusations of child abuse levelled against the Billie Jean chart-topper, focuses on behind-the-scenes drama as Jackson prepared for his 1992 Dangerous World Tour.

Son Blanket made a very rare public appearance alongside Paris and Prince for the opening night of the show on Broadway back in February.
