Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will be Released in 2024 [RUMOR]

We know that Konami is currently on a path toward reviving its old IPs. We saw the beginning of this set of endeavors with the latest Silent Hill revival, which consisted of multiple projects, including an ARG-like game, a new game set in Japan, a film, and the remake of Silent Hill 2 spearheaded by the ever-controversial Bloober Team. Now, we see the possibility that Metal Gear Solid might be the next in line to receive a touch-up, with a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater coming to light in 2024.

That is all according to VGC lead Andy Robinson, who recently took to Twitter to talk about the aftermath of the issues surrounding E3. The reporter talked about the release window of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake which is stated to be at some point in 2024. Additionally, he talked about Konami’s plans of promoting the game during the E3 window.

So, where did the rumors for this Metal Gear Solid 3 remake start? Well, the original rumors stated that the new version of MGS3 is being made by prolific Chinese port/support studio Virtuos and a LinkedIn post from the company’s main programmer hinted a “AAA action-adventure game remake” was indeed in the works. Later on, new information was found regarding Virtuos’ involvement with the remake of the game, with their website being updated to state that Konami was one of their clients.

Now, we might be seeing some sort of tease reveal or at least the rumor that the game will be released at some point during 2024. However, we will have to wait until more information regarding this possible game comes to light, so make sure to stay tuned for more developments surrounding the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. As always, we will reiterate that this story is a rumor, so taking this information with a grain of salt is important until an official announcement is made.
