Met Gala snubbed by A-listers as Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘never going again’

In another interview with USA Today, she snubbed any potential invitations confirming that she is “never going again”.

Former One Direction star Zayn Malik said in 2015 that the “self-indulgence” of the event “wasn’t for him”.

“It’s not something I would go to,” he added to GQ. “I’d rather be sitting at my house, doing something productive. To do the self-indulgent, ‘Look at me, I’m amazing’ thing on the red carpet, it’s not me.”

Amy Schumer candidly revealed she believed the gala was a “farce” during a chat with Howard Stern in 2016.

“It’s people doing an impression of having a conversation,” she said. “I don’t like the farce. We’re dressed up like a bunch of f***ing a**holes. I don’t like it. I have no interest in fashion. I don’t care.”

Comedian Tina Fey was a guest at the Met Gala once in 2010 and the experience was enough to convince her she did not want to do it again.

“I have gone to it once and it is such a jerk parade,” she told David Letterman in 2015.

“Clearly, I’ll never go again, but you go and it’s this beautiful space and it’s just every jerk from every walk of life is there wearing some stupid thing.

“You walk up these huge steps…and I went and I dragged my husband along with me too, which I’m still in trouble for.”
