Met Gala fails: Priyanka Chopra, Nicki Minaj and others in blunders

The Met Gala 2023 is set to showcase the best dressed celebrities, with attendees only being asked to adhere to this year’s theme: Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.

Previous years have showcased the best and worst styles from some of the world’s most acclaimed designers, worn by the best-known faces.

However, not everything has been perfect over the years, as many celebs suffered some of the most talked about fails in view of millions of fans who were eagerly awaiting their looks.

Hayden Panettiere suffered an awkward incident after she tripped over her spectacular floor-length dress right on the steps at the 2014 Met Gala, which boasted the theme Charles James: Beyond Fashion.

Years later, in 2019, Priyanka Chopra risked suffering a wardrobe malfunction as she pulled out all the stops for the Met Gala 2019’s theme Camp: Notes on Fashion, in a thigh-slit dress.

Nicki Minaj was left fighting to avoid a wardrobe malfunction as she arrived at the Met Gala 2022, with her strapless Burberry gown being so low-cut that it barely covered her chest and she had to hold her hands over her top half to try and keep her assets in place.

Another awkward blunder saw Jennifer Lawrence photobomb Sarah Jessica Parker back in 2013, with the Hunger Games star crashing the Sex and the City legend’s photo opp.

Bella Hadid had fans talking during the 2017 edition of the coveted event as she crossed paths with her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, and his girlfriend at the time, Selena Gomez.
