Met Gala 2023: Here’s a look at the best dressed women from the grandest night in Fashion

The Met Gala 2023’s invitation to celebrities to dress in honour of Karl was timed, as per usual, to the start of the Costume Institute’s new exhibition.  There’s a good reason why the Met Gala 2023 is lovingly known as “fashion’s grandest night.” Here, the spotlight is particularly bright and outstanding design—whether from high-end fashion houses or emerging talent—comes to life. The Met Gala has its own special kind of glamour, with celebrities rubbing elbows with creative designers and strolling up the famed red carpet-covered steps of The Met to meet some of the world’s most glamorous people.

The bulk of attendees wore outfits in Lagerfeld’s chosen colour scheme of black and white, and there were lots of tweeds, pearls, chains, and camellias — all Chanel house signatures for which the German icon created from 1983 until his passing in 2019.
