A local snapped a picture showing the vehicle was parked across two parking spots and slammed them for taking up the extra space on what was said to be a “busy morning”.

The image was shared on Facebook and while many social media users attacked the driver’s actions, it also left many divided, due to one significant detail.

Some directed their anger at the driver, saying it was unnecessary to take up so much space.

One person wrote: “Eastern suburbs Merc driver, no explanation needed.”

While a second added: “I’d squeeze my car in so tightly on his driver’s side he couldn’t get in.”

A third commentator said: “Entitled and a crap driver.”

Another chipped in with: “All that tech and still can’t park straight.”

However, some eagled-eyed viewers came to the defence of the driver after noticing a disability sticker attached to the windscreen.

One comment said: “Surely the anonymous member that posted this could see the disability permit displayed on the windscreen.”

Another person posted: “I wonder if you’ll all be so judgemental when you’re old and frail and find it difficult to do the simple things.

“We don’t know if the disability car spots were already taken.

“(Or if) they are transferring in and out of wheelchairs then they need distance from other cars to do so.”

While another person speculated they could have been trying to protect the car which can cost between £44,000 to £92,000, depending on the version.

They wrote: “I didn’t want some numbskull opening their car door on my paint job.”

Just a few days ago, shoppers were left fuming after they spotted a black Jaguar parked across two bays – but they got their revenge.

Photos revealed shoppers in Canberra had hilariously blockaded the car with not one, but five shopping trolleys.
