Yogurt-a Be Kidding!

Actress Melissa McCarthy revealed Friday that instead of actually drinking Hidden Valley Ranch in the hilarious 2011 “Saturday Night Live” sketch, the “Spy” star actually chugged a probiotic drink called Kefir.

“When I think about it, I kinda really love ranch,” said “The Heat” star to Entertainment Weekly’s “3 Rounds” host Alexis Wilson. “So I don’t know that I couldn’t have just [drank ranch dressing] … but there’s a lot of logistics to that.”

McCarthy revealed that is an attempt to find a substitute for the condiment, she discovered Kefir.

The “Tammy” star joked that the diary drink isn’t that different from ranch “when you’re shotgunning it down your throat.”

According to “The Little Mermaid” star, the entire “SNL” sketch was a version of something she wrote and performed while a part of the L.A. Groundling comedy troupe.

“At the time I was like, ‘This will be a great idea,’” recalled “The Heat” star. “And then doing it three times a week, I was like, ‘Hmmm, this is difficult to get down the third time.’”

In the segment entitled “Taste Test,” McCarthy appears as ranch super fan Linda who attempts to prove her love for the brand by trying out the new products alongside two other consumers.

The Post reached out to McCarthy for comment.

According to McCarthy, chugging the dairy product was worth every moment.

“If people would laugh, I would do it more,” said McCarthy adding that her husband, Ben Falcone, asked her to “pull back” on the bit.

McCarthy recently revealed that she once worked on a project that made her “physically ill.”

The beloved actress, who refused to reveal if the project was a tv show or film, told The Guardian that the director “manipulated” everyone on set and caused several people to cry.

“My eyes were swelling up, I was absorbing all of this nuttiness,” she claimed. “There were people weeping, visibly so upset by this one person.”
