Megyn Kelly slams ‘no talent’ MSNBC host Jen Psaki: ‘All she wanted was to be a cable news star’

Megyn Kelly took aim at MSNBC star Jen Psaki because her ratings have gone “off a cliff” since “no one wants to watch” her Sunday morning talk show.

Psaki, President Biden’s former press secretary, left the White House last May and began her much-hyped show on the left-leaning cable network in March.

“We looked up just the trajectory to see maybe she’s just started and she’s building [her audience], you know, give her some time,” Kelly said of Psaki during her Monday broadcast of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM.

“Literally, it’s like a downward escalator … the overall and the demo off a cliff.”

“Inside with Jen Psaki” drew 765,000 total viewers for its April 23 show, a 2% drop from the previous week, according to the USTVDB website.

Her debut on March 19 drew roughly 1.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

Kelly said Psaki “now is trying to make herself into a star and she’s failing because she has no actual talent in this field.”

“She had more talent being a professional spinner behind the lectern than she does being a different kind of professional spinner behind the MSNBC mic,” Kelly said.

The Post has sought comment from MSNBC.

Kelly also panned Psaki for having her eye on a cable news show while working for the Biden administration.

“This is so true of all these people that work at the White House Press Office,” Kelly said.

“What they really want is to be a cable news star. And so they lay the foundation while they’re over there trying to make themselves into a national personality.”

Kelly added: “What they really want is the job of the people they watch on primetime every day.”

“They’re envious.”

Despite Kelly’s criticism, Psaki’s show has consistently generated larger audiences than her competition on CNN.

In April, Psaki handily beat her ratings-challenged rivals at CNN in total viewers as well as the 25-54 demographic.
