Megyn Kelly says Bud Light should have used ‘genuinely dysphoric’ Caitlyn Jenner instead of Dylan Mulvaney

Megyn Kelly lashed out at Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch for not using “genuinely dysphoric” transgender icon Caitlyn Jenner instead of social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney for its ad campaign.

“If Bud Light had used Caitlyn Jenner, would I be having the same reaction?” Kelly, a fierce critic of Bud Light’s decision to feature Mulvaney in an ad campaign, asked during Thursday’s broadcast of her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”

“I admit, I would not be,” she said.

“Caitlyn Jenner is a trans woman,” Kelly added.

“Caitlyn Jenner doesn’t run around trying to say, ‘Trans women are women! Trans women are women!’”

Kelly referred to Jenner, the former Olympic decathlon champion-turned-reality television star who married into the Kardashian family, as a “genuinely dysphoric” person who “finally found the courage to transition late in life and hasn’t been obnoxious.”

In medical terms, “gender dysphoria” is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a condition in which people experience “psychological distress that results from an incongruence between one’s sex assigned at birth and one’s gender identity.”

Kelly noted that Jenner “understands there are differences, and that trans women should not be competing against women in women’s sports…”

“I don’t think Caitlyn Jenner would think it’s appropriate for Caitlyn to be modeling Oil of Olay or a sports bra company,” Kelly said, referencing Nike’s sponsorship deal with Mulvaney.

Earlier this week, Kelly panned Mulvaney’s ads touting Nike sports bras given the fact that the influencer was “non-breasted.”

“Dylan Mulvaney is a different story,” Kelly said.

“Dylan Mulvany infantilizes us. Dylan parodies us. Dylan demeans us.”

Kelly added: “Dylan dresses like a little girl and prances around fake hotel rooms, throwing her legs up in the air as though this is what a woman is.”

“Like, give me a break!”

“This Dylan character is humiliating womankind and the people at Bud Light who allowed this are buying into it,” Kelly said.

“They’re promoting it so it needs to stop.”

Mulvaney’s ad sponsorships of Bud Light, Nike, Kate Spade, and other brands have outraged conservatives, who have called for boycotts of the products.
