Megyn Kelly blasts Biden for Hunter’s WH dinner invite and ‘The View’ host Ana Navarro for defending them

Megyn Kelly blasted President Biden for inviting his scandal-scarred son Hunter to a White House state dinner — and then called “The View” co-host Ana Navarro “ridiculous” for defending their father-son relationship.

“You can love your child and still recognize it would be inappropriate, given the circumstances, to bring him to something that is not your private party,” Kelly said during Tuesday’s episode of the SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”

“It’s not your private party, Joe Biden,” Kelly reiterated during the episode, where she was joined by hosts of the “Ruthless” podcast: Comfortably Smug, Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook.

“It’s our party. It’s the United States. It’s America, and Hunter Biden should not have been there!” she added in response to Hunter’s attendance at a White House state dinner on June 22 for India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kelly also aired a clip from “The View,” in which Navarro got teary-eyed while talking about Biden’s relationship with his 53-year-old son.

Last week, Hunter skirted jail time by pleading guilty to federal tax and firearm charges in a deal with his father’s Justice Department, which is also expected to leave his record free of felony convictions.

Navarro said on Monday’s episode of “The View,” “The Hunter Biden story, the scandal, the this, the that — it’s also the story of a father’s love, and Joe Biden has never and will never give up on his son Hunter, and will never treat him lesser than.”

The co-host became increasingly emotional as she described Biden as “a father first, take it or leave it.”

“That’s who he is, that is part of his heart. There was 380 people at this dinner. It’s not like Hunter was sitting at [Attorney General] Merrick Garland‘s lap,” she added. “It was a bunch of people … and I think that the reason he’s been able to get out of addiction is because Joe Biden embraced him entirely the entire time.”

Kelly called Navarro’s comments “embarrassing.”

“Are you kidding me?” Duncan added after Kelly played back Navarro’s comments. “It’s like Bill Clinton bringing Monica Lewinsky to family dinner.”

Also on “The View,” Sunny Hostin echoed Navarro’s sentiment, adding that the scandal is actually “a father trying to keep his son, who suffers from addiction, close.”

“What seems to get lost in all of this discussion about Hunter Biden is his addiction. He’s an addict. He has had this addiction for many years, and to various things, and I wonder where our compassion is,” she added.

Comfortably Smug slammed “The View” for framing Hunter’s probation-only plea deal as “a tragic story about addiction.”

He continued: “I don’t think everyone who gets addicted to crack starts selling influence to the Chinese.”

Kelly chimed in, calling the news surrounding Hunter “such a convenient way of deflecting from the questions of what Joe Biden’s role was” in the alleged $5 million bribe be accepted from a Ukrainian businessman while serving as vice president.

An informant told the FBI in June 2020 that an executive at Ukrainian gas company Burisma confided that he bribed Joe and Hunter Biden and called the elder Biden the “big guy,” according to congressional sources who read the file.

When asked about the nickname earlier this month, the 80-year-old president snapped back, “Why do you ask such a dumb question?”

Republicans say the nickname’s use is significant because it was not publicly known at the time. Nearly four months later, The Post reported in October 2020 that an email from Hunter’s abandoned laptop said the “big guy” was due 10% in a business deal with CEFC China Energy.

“Americans are concerned President Biden may have sold out the United States to make money for himself. But President Biden is only laughing about it and ridiculing those who ask questions,” the Republican-led House Oversight Committee said on June 15. “We’ll continue to seek answers, transparency and accountability.”
